Truly, I have no idea how and why the astronomical community recently selected the names they did for four larger Kuiper Belt Objects. While they can be lauded for going cross-cultural, in part, that happens because they’re out of names in Greco-Roman mythologies. Even Rumina, a newly named body in today’s post, is noted to be a minor god. Following is a summation of four Trans-Neptunian Objects now officially transiting with namesakes. Given my arbitrary assessment that a TNO/KBO needs to have a diameter above 700 km, to be considered a dwarf planet, each of the objects below misses that mark by a sukoshi margin. Perhaps if transiting a person’s chart the body holds more interest.
One object, Rumina, is slow moving, possibly a scattered disc object. She possesses a reasonably high eccentricity and a notably long orbital period. Given her eccentricity, she sauntered through Sagittarius starting in 1710 and finally wrapping up the journey in 1867. On the other hand, Goibniu, with his extremely minuscule eccentricity is a classic cubewano. Symbolically, an object’s eccentricity may contribute to tendencies for a person with strong contact from that body to demonstrate off the wall tendencies or fall in line with social conformity.
An astrological technical note: While the node and perihelion of each planetary entity work to create theme, priorities and intention for each object, these are measured from the Sun’s point of view. They are NOT relevant in comparing zodiacal placements with ones geocentric natal chart - the typical chart cast by astrologers on the sapphire planet.
In the descriptions below to establish relevance, the objects’ position for the first day of September and October of this year are noted. Those who purchased the Galactic Trilogy or the KBGASP course received an individual ephemeris for each object, 0 hour GMT, for the first day of every month from January 1700 to January 2100. Custom ephemeridae can be created should a person have the need. They just take time.
Without further adieu, here we go, in alphabetical order:
Goibniu is the god of metallurgy and hospitality in Irish mythology. He served as the metal smith for the supernatural Tuatha Dé Danann allegedly replacing an arm lost in battle with a silver prosthetic. With his Sagittarius node, the theme is to tell the truth in all of those ever so important and urgently prioritized relationships (perihelion in Libra). No matter who you engage, speak only impeccable truths.
With his low eccentricity, expect that by nature, significant contacts to this body, stress the need to comply with norms, standards and be a model citizen of conformity. There is a sense of duty within his nature and the need to do what he does without consideration of the feasibility of the task, chance of success or long term outcome. It is important, though, while in the state of doing the expected task to state ones honest opinion of the matter that is currently at hand.
In fact, to preserve soulfulness in relationship (his perihelion directly connects with the Super Galactic Center), Goibniu must state all things that come to his mind that seem relevant to the interaction. Truthfulness in relationship must be told, even it bursts out.
Soon, as in early November, Mercury and Mars in Scorpio directly conjoin Goibniu. Blurting out opinions soothes ones psyche and may jolt those involved in the communication and in some sort of relationship with Goibniu into a clearer state of understanding how essential his lending of a hand and participating in any situation by adding his skills, enhances and transforms situations into more than anyone initially expected.
As the third week of November rolls around, the Sun in Scorpio transits Goibniu, shedding light upon and bringing clarity to any muddied waters that may have occurred within his quest for forthright declarations in any relationship.

Rumina is a minor Roman goddess who was invoked as a protector of nursing mothers. As one of the indigitamenta, Rumina lacks the elaborate mythology and personality of later Roman deities, and was instead considered to be a more abstract, numinous entity. Still, she begs the question, who defends those mothers who breast feed in public?
With her high eccentricity, those with notable connections to her are not fans of conformity. Such connections bear an unpredictable quality. Sometimes, fitting in is fine. Other times, there will be hell to pay should others or society exert norms for Rumina types to follow. She will do exactly as she assesses is necessary in any and all situations. Truly, with Rumina connections expect the unexpected and expect that she’ll stick with whatever she conjures for an extended period of time.

Uni is the Etruscan goddess of love and fertility. She is one of the three main gods of the pantheon. Her satellite (55637) Uni I is named for Uni's husband, the sky god Tinia. She is noted as the equivalent of Juno in Roman mythology, and Hera in Greek mythology. In the telling of The Judgment of Elcsntre (in Greek, the Judgment of Paris) she is one of the three goddesses petitioning for the golden apple presented at the wedding of the century (Eris has no direct equivalent in Etruscan mythology), intending to create unprecedented chaos.
With her current positions in Taurus, Uni posits the question: What is the cost of domestic tranquility and relationship ease? While not specifically a monetary question, she reviews all aspects of ones living conditions and relationship status and determines what she must invest - whether the investment is about fiduciary matters or emotional energy input required. Given the retrograde, the era is more one of assessment with the intention to save up for March of next year when she turns direct - then she estimates she holds all proper reserve and can confidently proceed. However, that’s a long time away for emotional participation to be withheld. As she is transited by Mercury and Mars in Scorpio through an opposition late in October, expect all domestic and relationship matters to be left, right and center, demanding full and unabated participation.

Xewioso was a thunder god in the mythologies of the Ewe and Fon people of Western Africa. Also known as Xevioso, Heviosso, Hevioso. He is a twin.
Should a person’s house be struck by lightning, the correct response would be to call a priest to assist with the fire. This creates the implication that the spiritual in all circumstances must be considered prior to taking mundane, corrective action. While this strategy may hold certain real world flaws, the concept that the importance of any unfortunate event must be fully grasped on the soul level prior to successful advancement in life.
Given the Taurus north node and Capricorn perihelion, a nearly contradictory agenda appears. With all things in life, an Xewioso contact or transit evidently is comfortable with the concept that lightning can strike twice, especially if the importance of the matter fails to be grokked.
Consider that psychics and astrologers have been known to state that their consultation may have saved a person years in life setbacks. Of course, this is impossible to know. The point is: tremendous value exists within the insights of life. Insights applied enhance personal creative attributes and provide valuable solutions to the complications of life.
How does this work? Perhaps reviewing the consciousness one held and solutions that were percolating in mid-July when Jupiter in Cancer transited Xewioso provides a clue. Certainly previously unconsidered options appeared at that time that offered progress and Jupiterian gain, whether philosophical enrichment or in life itself. If nothing comes to mind, how about a recollection of the third week of August as Mars achieved a square from Libra to this point? Bearing in mind that lightning might strike twice (and there are so many anecdotes supporting this claim), there’s but a little time to wait for the Sun to square Xewioso from Libra on or about the first of October. Nothing like absorbing the fertility of a fresh lightning strike!
