Heeding the Power Planets ~ 21 January 2010

As Pluto remains prograde on the ecliptic while Saturn retrogrades, these two power planets ready themselves for a rendezvous within a rough angle, yet again. While the exact alignment does not occur until the end of the month, the impact of these planets has been ongoing and for all intents and purposes, established itself as a substrate of collective reaction last year (November) and insists upon remaining in power through the last square next August (the exact square from the heliocentric view occurs on June 11). Of course this is only one part of the ongoing Cardinal conundrum involving Uranus and Jupiter at various times this year - the terrible T-square about which much ado has been made.

Certainly these patterns conjure mundane effects, economic consequences and political machinations that affect human kind as a whole and perhaps shapes the short term plan of where the powers that be fancy the best course ahead to lie. Of course, such planning seems a bit silly to the more deterministic models of thinking. The powers that be only think they have power when playing up to the real powers that be... the power brokering planets of Saturn and Pluto.

Determinism or not, if you want to bid adieu to the ado, reclaim the use of the power planets on a personal level. Yes, the geographic tragedy in Haiti is a massive psychic shock that seeks to galvanize humankind beyond creed, color, culture and view of the Creator and Creation affects each and every sentient being on Earth. The political decision made by the leaders of the various countries affect the welfare of every person in those countries. But something that can never be taken away from any individual on the planet choosing to retain a thread of consciousness is the earthling’s relationship with the power brokers above. No one can take away the impact of the planets upon one’s horoscope. True one is impacted, influenced sometimes impinged upon by environment, culture, geographic position, citizenship etc. But a potent personal relationship remains intact between each and every person and each and every planet, terrestrial, gaseous giant, dwarf or otherwise no matter what, no matter when.

Presently, two power planets broker another square for us all to endure, enjoy, evoke. While it may feel that external inertia cannot be overcome, a strategic inner course plotted ensures that perfectly timed firing of one’s internal thrusters just might produce important, inspiring and effective results, regardless. After all, astrologers agree that few aspects offer up as much dynamical tension, creative inspiration and rally as much energy as does the square. Should one consciously and strategically vector the planetary players through life’s demands, the insurmountable might just budge.

The catch is that each of these planets has a rule book. Adherence to the planet’s protocol works in one’s favor. Defiance of the doctrine while accusing the planet of insisting upon needless dogma, commonly advances no cause.

Here’s a partial summary of the rules for Saturn and Pluto.

Saturn:

Every action must have a cogent thought or ceremonial intent behind it.

Every action must use thoughts and intents to construct a clearly defined purpose.

Purposes must be perused with persistence, dedication, diligence and timeliness.

Objectives sought must be pursued with environmental respect, which includes economy of effort and resources that blend with a clear sense of one’s available energy.

One must be gentle with the psyche and spirit when taking on major objectives.

Criticism of self and others must be checked.

Contingencies for every possible kink in time or bend in the road require full consideration, thus defeating any and all “what if” syndrome attempts to derail plans.

Adequate rest and food intake that match one’s body metabolism are essential.

A sense of one’s authority in one’s life overrides angst and negative expectation.

Asking for what is required and graciously receiving when it arrives opens energy flow.

Pluto:

Find your passion. Acknowledge it. Honor it. Use it for the good.

Be sensible with resources, but generous when required.

Build a healthy attitude about money, the skills of others and honor all resources available.

Squander nothing, and by his current transit, Pluto insists that one’s energy and time be used in wise applications only.

When confronting power struggles with others or organizations, construct situations that create advantages for all.

When the creative flow (“juice”) moves, apply/invoke/use it with great abandon. Shunt no part of creative vision.

While asserting one’s will and declaring the scope of one’s personal universe, remember every other person has a personal universe, too.

Make sure the axiom “Do unto others...” is upheld in its most noble application.

And there’s one more power planet now stirring it up in a way likely to be ignored by those viewing only the picture as seen from Earth. As the Sun sees it, Jupiter passed over the closest contact of Mars to the Sun on January 20th. In my neck of the woods we eagerly await the manifestations of El Niño, which statistically correlates to transits of planets to the perihelion of Mars. We’re begging for the solar emanations, which influence weather patterns. After all, last year we had less than half our annual rainfall and we need a generous soaking. In the past days, the strongest M2-class eruption in two years occurred and days before that (the 17th) a solar flare triggered a solar tsunami, exactly the resurgence expected with a transit to the volatile perihelion of Mars. Great what does that mean to people - other than its time to refresh the dusty hyperlink to www.SpaceWeather.com?

Well, as we’ll monitor a heap as the Sun ramps up to 2011's projected solar maximum, more energy than normal surges from the Sun many times scoring a direct hit on the Earth’s atmosphere. On the mundane, the electronic work of satellites and sensitive communication devices are affected - sometimes interrupted, other times augmented. For people, the energy system of the human body - aura, chakras, kundalini or however one rates life force - responds to an influx of amped up energy - like electronic devices, sometimes favorably, sometimes not so much. Typically people feel out of synch, ungrounded, blasted off, hypersensitive, supercharged, hypercritical, restless and looking for a place to surge. The bottom line no matter if the energy seems to work with or against a body is to realize the need to reset the position of the soul inside the body. Spending time in nature typically works well.

There’s more about this helio passage. Jupiter is the guy who hands out awards to those who put personal performance on the line, whether in the limelight or not. This passage intends to reward those who’ve been using the impulses of Saturn and Pluto to follow passionate plans for progress - planetary and personal. Collectively, good ideas are now more likely to find a receptive forum. Of course, those who have played within the guidelines of the power planets thus far, might find the afterburner of Jupiter targeting a far higher, more potent orbital plane than originally intended. That would be an orbital plane with a loftier vision, too.
