How Great Thou Art ~ 28 Sept 2007

Within the next twenty-four hours Jupiter passes the exact degree of the Great Attractor. Guess we’ll all find out how great “it” really is. This enigma centers at 14 Sag 06 and reaches massively and gravitationally in all directions. It draws the entirety of our local group of galaxies and all those within 60 mega-parsecs either side of it (60 million times 3.26 light years) into its domain. It’s massiveness, gravitational drawing power and phenomenal attributes boggle the mind. It bends light so much you can see behind it, allowing an accurate, reasonably present time view of what’s just ahead. It emanates in all the radiation spectrums of which we have knowledge, offering a metaphor of all inclusiveness. And now, engaged by the great benefactor (or at least hyperbolizer) in our solar system, Jupiter, we should see some interesting stuff about considering every alternative - the consciousness of the Universe calls out for attentiveness to the idea of option-oriented realities.

In the United States a judge in Oregon determined two sections of our antiterrorism Patriot Act to be unconstitutional. One of our main conservative commentators acted out Jupiter and Sagittarius, swallowing his foot pretty much up to his groin while uttering blatant, prejudicial remarks. The protests and violence in Myanmar escalated (being an American, I had to look up where in the world this was). Film maker, Ken Burns airs a gut-wrenching documentary about World War II, with the agenda that historical mistakes are not repeated. The Dawn spacecraft headed to explore the “planets,” dwarf though they may be, in our asteroid belt. An alleged meteor in Peru caused a rash of illness or at least hysteria. The American League pennant race has been determined, while the National League has decided not to lock it down until Saturday. And there was our President speaking to a gathering of school children proudly reporting that the “childrens do learn,” Jupiter at his best.

How does one deal with this personally? Thanks be to the Great One to wait until Mercury enters Scorpio and Mars enters Cancer to enjoy a Jupiter passage. How great is that? Why? Well, Mars while in Cancer motivates a person to dig in and perfect one’s immediate surroundings. Home, office, car, one’s inner circle of friends, familial relations and most intimately, one’s aura, all get an energetic tweak. Now it is true that Mars will retrograde while homesteading in Cancer and back off into Gemini, but now, as it opposes a ton of binary x-ray accreting pulsars, emotional energy management is the theme. Plan before energizing to prevent bumps, bruises and abrasions. However, should a band aid be necessary under the shining Mecurialchrome (mecurochrome, how many of you remember that? Rhetorical question) of Mercury entering Scorpio is good humor. When one looks at life from an all-energy inclusive point of view, the irony of it all is pretty dang funny. The point of this emotionally incisive Mercury asks for a bare bones look at how it really is, add an application of mirth, perceptiveness and a nondeprecating attitude. With that properly combined, create an inspired plan that makes every element of life better. Find new ways to go about things. Consider that those silly people who actually believe in different things than yourself, really do believe in those things and maybe dare to ask why.

The key point of the weekend ahead asks each person to assess recent progress, whether forward or backward, and to develop an all-inclusive plan that seeks out the inspired destinations you claim to want. That’s that dang Jupiter. Sometimes it talks a good story and delivers a nice, warm wind, but that’s about it. Since Jupiter refers to background beliefs, maybe review beliefs, expectations, fears and hopes. Ditch expectations that contradict what outcomes you seek. It’s not easy sometimes, especially when rooting for a baseball team that yo-yo’s it’s way to the end of a season; or while pitching projects whose success defies traditional probabilities; or while buying a lottery ticket; or investing in emotional relationships (please note the use of the tri-colon as a metaphor).

That’s where the harmonious alignment of the M and M guys offer a time in which an enhanced and expanded strategy can come into play. Check out what you think is behind those forces you perceive as influencing your life. Revise ideas and images of those forces accordingly. Create a plan that has more forks in it than the cutlery drawer of any conscientious cook. When that plan turns into a recipe for life, full of rich flavors and savory spices, turn up the martial heat and move all planning pots off the back burner. How great it’ll be to get cooking for real!
