Hot Ideas ~ 20 June 2006

In this hemisphere, it’s summer. For those of you south of the Equator, pardon my bias this Galactic Times. I realize it’s winter for you. I’m a bit obsessed with the heat of summer. Where I now sit, it’s about 112 degrees outside or dang near 44 degrees for the rest of the non-U.S. world. And I’m too dang hot to convert that to Kelvin for those of you from other star systems. Why does that even matter? Well, I just moved (thus, my delinquency in posting GT’s) within my condo complex to a rejuvenated unit - that is except for the dilapidated air-conditioning unit, now grinding to a fatal halt (new address given below, phone and e-mail remain the same). Where you sense breaks in the GT below coincides with my soaking sheets and hanging them outside the windows for some relief. Anyways, in accord with the Leo energy in the skies, enough about me.

It’s not just that it’s hotter than hell in my world. As we engage the solstice, we have a nice tidy quincunx of Venus to Pluto working and we’re on the heels of last weekend’s intense energy pattern. You know the one. Up here in the desert it looked like the sky was snake bit just after sundown. Those two bright lights came from the exact conjunction of Mars and Saturn in Leo. If you looked overhead, you could see Jupiter, leading the way of the Scorpion, and at a virtual right angle to the Mars-Saturn alignment. So? So, that’s why it’s been so fun the last couple of days. If you’re wired into this pattern, you know exactly what it felt like. If not, you’ve probably dealt with someone taking this one on the chin.

On the upside, the quad between Jupiter and Saturn intends to deliver proper measure. Jupiter seeks to get on with it. Saturn reality checks one’s most grandiose plans. When competence and capability match up with conscious decisions to advance: wah-la and woo-hoo, however those words are accurately spelled. The conscious decision part becomes the not so hidden snare in the forest or desert or seashore. Over the next several years, when the solstices occur, the Sun maintains a rather direct pathway to Pluto. Given the discovery of Sedna (making conscious choices) now aspecting blurry/conscious Neptune, and the new planet 2003 UB313, inspiring a life review of choices made to ensure quality of life and fulfillment of spirit, the stakes rise even higher. Now we have “here’s what you value” Venus angling her best in front of “bottom line, bottom everything” Pluto. Instead of saying, “it seemed like a good idea at the time,” attention to what one requires for life to be of impeccable quality comes to mind. Actually, it wanders back around to spirit.

The other factor to embrace, which follows the solstice by a rather short interval, is the aphelia of Earth, occurring on July 3rd. Believe it or not the Earth is most distant from the Sun at this time and moves the slowest in its orbital trek. Hard to imagine up here when the heat blazes as if it stoked the furnace of a Christian-based image of hell. Course that could be the Venus-Pluto thing generally heating up passions. Regardless, the aphelia of Earth implies a bit of a retreat to recollect and regroup. The very next day, July 4th, Mercury reaches aphelia. This occurs once every 88 days (okay thereabouts) and represents the need for recollection of thoughts and words before combining thought and word in a stream of what appears to be consciousness. With Venus, Pluto, Sedna, Neptune and UB313 doing their things, redefining value systems, internal belief, desires of the spirit and the choices that clearly support all those things, get a natural interval of chill from the mentally motivated Mercury.

When not sure, say so. When confident of your needs, earthly and spiritual, say so. When sure, say so. Using the multitasking patterns of the planets stands to provide you with some hot ideas. And I’m not just saying that because where I sit to write the non-solar orbiting Mercury rises to 100 degrees inside. Sizzle at the solstice - exactly as the planets order.

Since you might be heading off for a bit of repose, why not visit my store and order a report, book or Galactic CD to give yourself something to ponder? The GT’s should be back on track and time next week. Hopefully, I’ll be cooler, too.
