Ever Expanding - The Sombrero Dance ~ 28 September 2006

Within the next day or so, Mars, dancing with the stars through Libra, passes the degree of the enigmatic spiraling galaxy, NGC 4594 (M-104), aka the Sombrero Galaxy (13 Libra 45). In 1912, an astronomer at Lowell Observatory - the discovery location of Lord Dwarf Pluto, counting tree rings and pesky planetoids - realized while observing the Sombrero Galaxy that this galactic entity was outside our galaxy and that the Universe was expanding. So, whenever planets activate this fair minded degree in Libra and engage the potent black hole located therein, the need to make the big picture broader, more vertical and multidimensional increases in importance.

A bit more than a week ago, Mercury signaled the first signs of the Sombrero Galaxy’s current influence. On September 20th, the fleet footed silver tongue deal maker passed this degree, signaling the need to include more, expand vision and apply discernment only after factoring all variables into the mix. He pointed out the need to mentally take in everything that needs to be assessed and make clear decisions and create progressive strategies. An example of how this would not be done would be to read a factual finding of some sort and refute the declarations as naive or irrelevant. Such dismissiveness soon backfires. Like today for instance, when Mars activates this galaxy. To avoid backfires, those following the track reach out to include new action-based methods, commence exercise campaigns that work muscles not normally stimulated, apply more appealing methods of inter-office negotiations and consider previously unknown relationship themes and spiritual disciplines.

Soon the Sun and Venus in the yearly track through Libra engage the critical degree. The Sun reaches it first - October 6th - encouraging a consciousness of open mindedness that leads to an unwavering belief in option oriented reality. This form of reality comes to solar light only when all possibilities receive ample consideration. Without such expansiveness, previously perceived limits apply. Come October 10th Venus reaches the metaphor of continuous expansion. In the mundane realm it can be seen in Mexican restaurants when one realizes that the fish in tacos can be blackened instead of deep fried. How cool is that? Of course, one must be willing to expand one’s known desires outside of one’s familiar illusion of separation from the totality of Creation.

In the world of astrologers the same principle applies in the inclusion of the new dwarf planets and redefinition of the solar system. Whether astrologers decide to use Eris and other newly discovered bodies or not, they’re still there. Presumably, each new archetype adds a metaphorical solution to a complication of incarnation on Earth. Why not include the new? Try it at least. It’s like lima beans; you can’t possibly know if you like them without eating some.

Certainly the mythology of Eris does not easily and smoothly integrate into society - or does it? The news certainly seems to bear some of it out. It’s just hard to integrate in real life on the more personal level. Regardless, it is time to include her in our awareness. It’s time to include all sorts of unfamiliar things into our awareness, at least so says the Sombrero Galaxy now holding a full planet line up on its dance card.

Back on the ranch in Arizona, the daily ephemeris for Eris and Sedna, 1900 - 2050 is complete. For information on this and other variations of new point calculations, just click here.

Meanwhile, dance with the Sombrero Galaxy. All options open - more things possible - a larger life and Universe to embrace.
