Lowell Observatory

These pictures are on the grounds of Lowell Observatory, founded by the eccentric and brilliant Percival Lowell in 1894. The first two photos are quotes of Lowell that are engraved into the side of his mausaleum, located on on the Observatory grounds.

And here's a picture of the yours truly outside the telescope that discovered Pluto...

Finally, it was time for a chat with Percival himself. He told me to write the book in progress about the restructuring of the solar system, Eris, Sedna and more.

On the right, the U. S. Naval Observatory, located just west of Flagstaff, Arizona.
